There seems to be some folks here who are judging beauty by hair, makeup and lighting of the day, which made women look much different from today's version of beautiful. At least that's mho.

In the "Post great Pictures" thread on the HAMB there are a bunch of casual pictures of regular women back in the '40's and '50's, it's striking how even with the sometimes weird hairdo's, these women have a wholesomeness missing today. No tattoos or nose rings, either.
