painted wheels
I an wanting to pain my wheels black..I rember a post awile back but cant seem to find it..Have any of you guys done it.What kind of paint did you use..and what would you guys use a flat or shiney black..

Spray on Eagle1 Etching, it will help take off the clear coat thats already on there. Careful though if you let it sit to long it will eventually eat into your wheels metal itself. Rince it off then sand it to a smooth finish. Take the color of paint you desire spray on a couple of even coats, and then spray on some Duplicolor Wheel Clear Coat. Set back a weekend to do this correctly or at least a good full day. It will take some time for sure. Good luck and post some pictures.

I did this about 8 months ago, i just got some sand paper sanded the wheels down, wiped them off with rubbing alcohol. then got some black truckbed liner, i got the kind in the aerosol can, then just sprayed about 3 coats on the wheels. i havent had and trouble with them, not even a chip in the paint
