Alright I have an '02 EX 7.3 I just installed the 6637 conv and a Walker Muffler. I really would like the truck to whistle more, are there any tricks (like on a dodge there is a turbo ring you can remove)? That would make the turbo more noticeable?
Straight Pipe it. No muffler or silencer. And do the remove the insulation off of the IC pipe thing. Easy mod and forget the dang name to it, can't believe it, Getting old.
On a stock truck it is a good whistle then.. The muffler makes all the difference in the world with that.
There is a guy at our camp grounds. Straight pipe with a wicked wheel. Good god that kind of whistle will drive me nuts.. Can here that thing a mile away. Wife calls him "the whistler"
Hey I'm in lake charles. I have a WW and I dont find it to be to loud. It's about a $100 mod. It was worth it to me but my truck had bad surge issues when I ran my chip above stock settings.
you want it to whistle? like really whistle? get a GTP38r.
i had a ATS housing, foil delete, 4" turbo back system, 6637 filter and it sounded good.
but when i put on the gpt38r i was blown away. inside the cab sounds bitchen, much louder under load than the stocker.
if you really want it loud, buck up and get a 38r.
