Made a trade

I traded a 75 chevy pickup for a 1950 F68. It has lots of new parts and runs and drives great. The fellow I traded drove it 4 hours to get it to me. After 20 years I finally have a flathead that runs.

Cool looking truck and congratulations on your find! But I have to say, you look a little short to reach the pedals. ;-)

I think that you got the better end of the deal. You got yourself a nice parts hauler.

That '75 must've been in awfully good shape for him to trade that for it. Nice truck.

Yep, that needs nothing but some buffing and wax, from what I see! Really complete!

I've seen absolute magic produced from CLR and a Scotchbrite where the paint is thin and surface rust forming.

Congrats! Trading a Chevy for an old Ford is a great deal anytime! An F-68 is the Canadian version of the F-3...

Looks like a good trade, the truck appears to be in very good shape. I agree with the comments of cute kids, looks like they're happy with the trade as well.

I read somewhere that kids are happier in Ford trucks than Chevys...

Thanks for the compliments, and the kids love the new truck especially the horn. The PO put a lot of new parts and work in the truck, I also got a bunch of extra parts including a motor and tranny and another grill. As for the chev it was a good truck and well looked after by a local farmer, I was the second owner. He had an auction sale this spring and he sold the truck which fortunately for me went real cheap.
