Re-arming Iraq

Back in Desert Storm, Iraq lost many planes in dogfights with the US coalition as well as having all of their SAM batteries knocked out. Needing to renew their weapons cache, the Iraqi Defense Minister went shopping for more weapons in France. His host, the French Defense Minister, was embarrassed about the scorecard from Desert Storm. He told his Iraqi guest, "Take anything you want - our best tanks, rifles, or surface-to-air missiles." "No, no - you don't understand!" the Iraqi replied. "Last time you gave us surface-to-air missiles. This time we need surface-to-jet missiles!"

Re-arming Iraq

It came out in the news today that Iraq was purchasing many components for it's nuclear program from France. No wonder France is backing away.

Re-arming Iraq

Question of the day; When NATO member 'England' was defending the Faulklin Islands, they lost a few ships to Exercet Missiles. Who made the Exercet Missile and supplied it to the enemy?

Re-arming Iraq

Was perhaps the Exocet missle manufactured and sold by the French? It would not surprise me at all.

The French need to sit down, shut up, and stay out of the way. They are quickly proving their irrelevance in the Iraqi situation. Some have called for boycotts of French goods and services. I say forget about that and cut off all foreign aid from the US. For that matter, all foreign aid should be stopped to any country that disagrees with our morals, our culture, and our economic way of life. Keep the money here in America to help our own folks, promote our own economy, and finally to reduce the tax burden upon an already over taxed population.

Close the military bases in Germany, and any other country that does'nt want us. Bring those troops home to help patrol the hemmorage at the sothern border that allows too many illegals to enter our country and take advantage of our social systems.

We need some forward thinking, intelligent, people to begin these changes. The last thing we need are more cowards that tremble at the thought of dealing directly and forcefully with the problems that affect America and the foreign situations from which they are linked.

BY GOLLY, Brien for President!
I'm with ya bud!

And yes the Exocet missile is produced in France.
Excellent post. My sentiments exactly.

Re-arming Iraq

Right on Brian, and thought I was the only one. We need to keep aid to ourselves, and start putting people on welfare to work. I'am totaly willing to trade lazy deadbeat Americans for hardworking well intentioned foreighners. Our sad wellfare nation is sending a bad mesageto the world. We have other NATIONS, IE Africa that acts like it's our responsibility to cure the aliments of their poverty. I thought whitemans burden went out with English colonialization? If you don't want to better the American economy, get the #### out, and leave us alone! Fix you own damn problems. After a few thousand years you think people would realize that if you can only feed 2, don't bread 50. We come to the rescue during WWII, and since we have done nothing but use our influence to better the world. Others don't have to agree, but when we pay aid to help others they can atleast keep their mouths shout or refuse are aid. Peacniks are the first to say no to war but the first in line for the financial aid. I'am tired of people who never step off American soil talking about the rest of the World. I have been all over this great planet and guesse what. Nobody but Americans like Americans. If they act like they do, then it's because it's in their best interest to do so. Those that openly speak out against America are often the ones that profit the most from us and it just shows their true character. Buy American, Be American, and stand up for your rights, or atleast support those that do! If you are a coward like our last president, or just a damn traitor like Jane Fonda or possibly Sean Pen, then renounce your citizenship. Go live in Egypt, or Irag, ect. Those that are all caught up in peace rallies and that stuff, remember somebody died to give you that right and many more are willing to do so. Thanx

P.S. It takes all kinds to make this all work.

Re-arming Iraq

The French are so stupid, it's a wonder that they have any allies. They really have screwed everybody that has ever interacted, scratched that, saved their butts. How about we drop the Statue of Liberty on the Eiffel Tower from 1000 feet? Sure, the Statue if a symbol of Liberty, and should be cherished, but remember, the French gave it to us in a grand gesture of brown-nosing. Screw them. Maybe we should invade France so their young people can know what it felt like for their grandparents to live under occupation; maybe then they'll shut up.
How many times have we bailed out the French? Geez, I guess it goes back to the French/ Indian War. What, are they jealous of all the land Napoleon sold us to finance his feeble attempt at global conquest? Then, of course, there was WWI, and then the big one, WWII, where if not for us and England and Canada, they would be spending their Marks on Bratwurst and Lowenbrau. Oh, and how about Dienbienphu? How many of our boys died after they failed to stop the VC and the North Vietnamese and we chose to step in? Man, France always gets their butts kicked! Why do we want them on our battlefields, anyways? What a bunch of limp wristed losers! Forget the French, they are the little ****zhu trying to run with the Big Dogs. Let them protest and hate on the US; the next time they need a hand, we can tell them to screw.
And as for the Germans, they are just trying to exert their percieved control over the EU, which will crumble quickly under the weight of German and French domination and mismanagement. Watch how quick the rest of Europe gets fed up with France and Germany trying to control them. The EU will fail soon enough, and they will be at fault for ruining a good thing. Oh, and German beer is always skunky, so I never drink it. There's my boycott!

You guys are being a little hard on the French for not backing the NATO countries. It would only be the honorable thing to do if they already surrendered to Iraq.

Hey!, Who put the red and Blue on our flag?

Look, I don't want to bash the French. They do what they feel they have to do. I just happen to disagree with it. Therefore, I say we pull any foreign aid that we send directly to them.

We are doing what we feel is best in our national interest so if they can't get behind us, so be it. We will remember who supports us and who does'nt. You can do your part by not buying French wine, French perfume, and French bottled water.
Me, I won't buy French bread.

Egpyt? Wha...? Fill me in on that one, please...
Yeah, I figure I don't really need to bash the French, I'll hit them with my truck instead.
I have to say, I tried to think of what I could do to boycott the French, but I couldn't find anything that I use/eat/drink/smoke that comes from France, so I guess I have been doing it all along...Proof Positive that France really IS irrelevant. I even checked a couple of my shirt labels. Nothing.
Oh, wait. I think my trash can was made in France. Figures. Best thing to happen to garbage since the LeCar and Peugot. I can't spell Peugeaut. French sucks! Snail-eating PUKES!
So this war will start, and France will be on the outside looking in, wishing they cold come out and play, knowing that they'll get beat up by the other children if they leave their house.
Also, if the Iraqis have French made weapons equipment, the war should be short. I can't imagine that a LeCar fitted with a .50 caliber could do that great in the desert against a tank...
Enough already.
