My 64 F100 seems to be sagging on the entire right side.I checked my garage floor behind both front and rear tires and it's level.I measured from the frame to concrete on both sides and the right side is 1" lower in the front and rear.Measuring from the concrete to the bottom of the fenders,I get the same results.A buddy of mine seems to think it's possibly weak springs.Seems odd both right springs would be shot, but I guess it's possible.Anybody have a similar situation they have run into?Everything seems to be tight with no broken shock mounts, shackels, etc.Dad did have a half cabover camper on the truck when we were kids.It came off 30 years ago.I appreciate any help you might have.

I have the same issue. I wonder if it isn't more of an engineering trick to keep the frame/suspension straight when you put torsional force (lots of gas pedal) through the drive train. I did the same thing you did measuring everything but it is all level and drives in a straight line pretty good. Well that is until you hit a bump in the road.

Hey Mark, glad to know I'm not the only one.I know the truck used to sit level. If you stand a ways behind the tailgate, you can really see the lean.I remember my Dad mentioning that it was strting to lean and didn't know why.Sure hate to throw $1,600 worth of springs in it only to find out that wasn't it.
Just a shot in the dark, but you may only have one weak spring or possibly a broken leaf or two in one spring. If one of the springs, let's say the right rear is weak or broken the right front and left rear will have to take some of the weight to compensate, this could cause you to be 1 inch off on just the right side if you compare left to right. The better comparison would be if you knew what the height should be stock. It might be that your left rear is also low.
I would check the spring packs for cracked or broken springs.
Or it might just be wearing out more on the right side.... Have you been doing much circle track racing with it?

LOL.It might have been that qualifying lap at Bristol that did it.I inherited the truck from my Dad about 2 weeks ago.He had noticed it starting to lean to the right also.He pretty much babied the truck the whole time he owned it.I'll get back under it and look the springs over real good and see what I can find.I appreciate the advice.

My 64 is also leaning to the right a bit, but I haven't done any serious work to figure out the problem. I can't tell you how many times I've gone to the drive-through, set my drink on the floorboard, taken a left turn, and started cussing as it falls over and spills everywhere. I guess I should get a cupholder...
That would be a pretty good source of the lean. I know my truck bed is in need of some sheetmetal in the floors. I even thought about shimming the frame contact pads but that is a bandaid on the problem if the bed is tweeked.
Frisky, I completely tore down my leaf packs and replaced the bushings so a cracked/broken leaf is not my problem.
Looks like it may be a common problem.I haven't had a chance to crawl under mine again and look the springs over good.My Dad put air shocks on it years ago.I checked those and they seem to both be working and not one or the other bleeding off.Hopefully this week I can do some more looking around. Thanks for all the replies.
