Flexplate...Flywheel??????
O.k. guys my engine ignorance is gonna show thru here but I have a question for ya. My truck is an automatic.....do I have a flywheel or a flexplate? Are they the same thing? What's the difference, if not? And where can I get a replacement? Don't ask what happened to the old one. Let's just say junkyard engine pulling is not delicate surgery!!! Thanks.

Flexplate...Flywheel??????
You sir have a flexplate. Flywheels are different and are for manuals. You can get a new one made by pioneer from autozone for 70 bucks give or take. I would spend a couple bucks extra and get it balanced just for grins. I'm not even going to aske about the one that got ruined.
