This is a pretty big event that makes the 4Wheeler Magazine. I have never been but will be attending this year. Check the webstite for all the Info. It is Feb. 28-Mar. 2.

I see y'alls club is located in the Colony, thats not far from me, what town do y'all meet in?
Do you like the club? I have a '89 s10 blazer 4x4 (4.3 v6, 700r4, 3.42 gears...stock pretty much except for a K&N, flipped air cleaner lid, and Good Year Wrangler AT/D tires. A throttle body spacer, JET stage II chip and factory tow hooks are on their way) and I've been looking to get into a fun club that does some short day trips. My "off roader" is by no means extreme but I like to run trails (don't like really deep soupy mud with all the electronic stuff, bu I don't mind mud lol) and have been looking for a club that does this sort of thing. Is this the right club for me?

I am not affiliated with the club. I am just going to meet some people and have some fun gettin' dirty. I won't attempt the obstacle course, but will mud and sand drag. I think your rig will be just fine. You can pay just to get in and watch or you can pay a little extra and try out the contest. Might as well go for it...lol.

I probably wouldn't do the mud drags....electronics and that much mud don't go well together 
Sand drags I could do fairly well in.....these little 4.3s are pretty peppy in little trucks..the 3.42 axle ratio don't hurt either.
Whats the obstacle course like, of course I would be "sportsman class" would that make the obstacle easier for me? Do I really have to have a roll bar and some of that other stuff the rules say you have to have? It's only a street truck really so I don't have roll bars and such.
Also, how far from the DFW area is it?
