It should just pop out, there is an O-ring on it that makes it pretty snug in there.

In theory it should just pop out, but that's not always the case. Ever tried to pop out a CPS that's been in a motor for a long time? It's dang near impossible!! I've broke an old CPS trying. Same with the VSS. Broke one trying like crazy to get it out.

It had been in the rear end since 1993 (this was last summer) and nothing I could do allowed it to pop out. It'd twist side to side just like the op. I tried to drill into it and easy-out it, but being a magnet, it's too hard. I ended up pulling the back cover and using a long screwdriver to pry it out from the inside.

"COME OUT OF THERE YOU MISERABLE F***ING CROSS-EYED SUNNY-BEACHIN PIECE OF CHIT!!!"

LOL!! Nah, tried that and still didn't work. I even used some other phrases that involved alot more adjectives and those didn't help either!

You probably didn't let your hand slip off and bust open your knuckles on something sharp... that works every time!

Yep, all of that too! And was laying in a sticker patch in my parents driveway, in the dark, with a crappity azz flashlight. Oh the memories!
