Thank you. I'm stuck in this ridiculous rain in MA too...

Sounds like I'm on my way to discovering and solving the problem.

Get a set of Energy Suspension bushings for that trac bar. Mine weren't that bad to put in.

Well, there's definitely a small amount of play in my tie rod end on the pitman arm side.

I tightened the pitman arm nut (like a mf'er btw...big *** wrench and a 4 ft pipe to sleeve it)

Tightened the nut on the tie rod end so much that I stripped the thread on the nut and had to go buy a new one....

and also tightened up the U bolts, and greased every zyrk fitting I could find.

I'm driving 300 miles tomorrow evening, so I'll give an update on Saturday and let y'all know if it's better or not.

^^ huh? I'm not sure that was English...?

If you're referring to the nut that I put on the tie rod end by the pitman arm, after I stripped the one I had, I drove up to the Autozone and bought a pack of 4 in different sizes for like $6. One of them was the right size and pitch (or close enough anyway) to get the job done, so I used it.

There was no lock washer on mine...it was a nut that uses a cotter pin on the tie rod end.

hey i had the same problem with mine that i felt at my feet if you fixed the noise with the tightening of the whole front end as i did great just a bit of heads up is to check the leaf spring perch that is welded to the bottom of the axle tube where the pittment arm is on mine cracked almost in half which allowed my leafs to move.

I'll have to check that...my flunk is still there.

I think it could be related to the tie rod end though...so i figure i'll replace that in the not too distant future and see if it fixes the problem.

Anybody else have any bright ideas?
