I just purchased a 2011 F250 6.7L Lariat short bed. I love the truck but it seems when I lightly accelerate from a dead stop, there is a slight hesitation and jerking motion as it goes through the first three gears. Nothing real noticeable but not smooth. Also when I punch it from a dead stop there is a longer hesitation before the turbo kicks in and the truck takes off. My 04 6.0L did not do this. This is the only 6.7L I have drove so don't have anything to compare it to. Anyone else seeing this?
Yep wait until your software gets dialed in to your driving mode and style - should smooth out a bit by the time you hit the 1000 mark. I can't speak for the 6.0 but the 6.7 does have some turbo lag - but to be honest compared to my wife's old 89 Daytona it is nothing!
