Center Console
My center console is big, but it's tough to find stuff when I want it. So, I made this out of aluminum and keep things that I use regularly in it. It simply lifts out when I want to access the lower part of the console. It's one piece of aluminum sheet bent up and secured at the corners with rivets. Then I sprayed it black and lined the bottom with some left over tool drawer liner material. Works great.

Man that looks great and it is a great idea. I have the same problem as well but I'm obviously not as handy as you.

pearsonrb, that's awesome. I have short arms so I lean over to reach down in the console. i'm not that handy tho.

Doesnt the XLT center console with the bucket seats come with that tray like my FX4 did? Interesting...

xlt and fx4 have different consoles, your should have a console shifter and mine does not.
