I have a 1998 Expedition 4X4. The passenger side turn signal pulsates rapidly without actual blinking. I have changed the bulbs in the front and rear and the problem persist. I know that vehicles used to have a “flasher” that could easily be changed to repair turn-signal problems. Does the 1998 Expedition have a “flasher”, if so where is it located or is there some other device that might create this problem? Thank you. Regards, Gary

I am having the same problem. Did you ever figure out what the problem was? I read that some people are having problems with multi-function switch.

That is exactly what the problem was. The problem was resolved by replacing the "multi-function switch" (the term might be multi-function relay). Thanks, Gary

The day I bought my Expy all rear lights, with exception to the third brake light, went out. No turn signals, no brakes or running lights. I toyed around long enough to get the magically working again. The dealer found a bad multifunction switch. One of my good friends (Ben Moore) down in Hammond, Louisiana has been a master Technician with Ford for several years now and said that the multifuntion switch is a common problem on these trucks.
