Need some opinions and help!!!!!

Ok been tearin dow the truck taking my time going to do a oil cooler, hpop, and egr delete. So my question is should I go a head and pull the heads off and put new gaskets on while I got it tore apart. And if so what all do i need to to remove to get my heads out? And how often do the 6.0 heads warp or crack?

heck pull the heads and do a set of studs and gakets ,, but pulling the cab is best

Yeah thats what I was thinking sorry about the spelling guys, just very tired been working on it all day. I already have arp studs, so it would just be gaskets and have the heads checked but I found some rebuilt heads for 500$ thinking of just getting them so i can just trade them out instead of worrying with if mine are warrped or cracked.

If you aren't in a hurry then take yours and have them checked. It's worth the $$$ even if you end up with "new" heads in the long run it's worth the peace of mind knowing exactly what you have in hand. They can be resurfaced if not beyond spec already for about $100. Max cut is .008. I think the deck height(?) is 3.74 and it's worth having the springs checked and shimmed to at least proper pressure. 6.0 valve springs are notoriously weak.

Thats true but I am having proplems finding a reputable shop. Normally I am back home and can get it done cheap but right now I am in Gillette Wy and everyone talks dirty about these shops!
