If a customer types out a letter of the issues in detail would it help you?

its been knowen to. Ill say that much. The more I know the faster I can fix and it improves your odds of not paying for extra parts.

That's exactly what I did on my last episode. Mostly because I didn't trust the service advisor to communicate my concern to the tech. As it turned out, I was able to give the written note directly to the tech before surrendering my vehicle. I felt doing so left no chance of miscommunication. I included all the temps I had observed. As far as I could tell, the tech appreciated the written info.

Speaking from a view in the home repair/remodel customer relations,I think it demonstrates your williness to perticipate in the solution and if nothing else would make the tech comfortable contacting you for a question he might have.
