Probs with the negative terminal wire

It seems my 91 f150 is having problems with the negative terminal wire that goes to the battery. The wire is so tight and has no slack in it that it seems to keep wiggling out. I just bought a new wire and terminal set from walmart. Where does the wire go to? From the battery it goes down to the passenger side of the engine and looks almost as if it has a 90 degree bend then underneath the engine. The wire is stuck to the chassis where it bends. It doesnt have a nut or anything connecting it (maybe its melted on there??) I just need to know where the other side goes so I can run it to that location directly from the battery and cut out the old one. Thanks in advance

One goes to the block, and the other to the starter relay which is on the fender, near the battery.

If you clean the gunk off the one on the engine block, you'll see a 5/16" diameter bolt.

Not sure what engine you have but I will guess that it is a V-8.
I had to take the A.I.R. hoses off to get to the ground bolt.
Unless you pull a trailer you do not need the lug that is bolted to the frame.

Here is a photo but do not use a red cable for ground like this PO did.
