Yet another newbe AC thread
The ac is blowing warm air. So I opened the hood and checked that the compressor clutch was spinning, which it was not. So I jumped the low pressure switch back by the evaporator, and the clutch kicked in. I hooked up a bottle of 134. However, no refrigerant ever left the bottle, even after about 15 minutes.
I checked the service valve and when I pressed it in to see if it was stuck I could see refrigerant escaping.
I then turned off the AC and when I turned it back on the compressor was no longer turning. The LP pressure switch was still jumped.
It seems like there may be a couple of problems. One, the compressor spinning and then no longer spinning once I "restarted" the AC, and two, the system not taking any refrigerant.
Any help would be great!!
Thanks- Jason
Happened to mine. Wiggle the wires and it went off and on.
