Intermittant Turbo
I have a 2005 F250 4wd, 6.0 turbo diesel and the turbo occassionally drops out either with a load or not pulling a load. I can be acclerating and feeling the lack of power with the gauge reading zero but I continue to accelerate hard and it eventually kicks all at once and the gauge pops up to operating levels. It used to only happen rarely but not it seems to be more and more. Sometimes it starts from sittng at a light and accelerating or sometimes even driving along up to speed it drops out but it has always come back, knock on wood. Sensor, plugged hose of some kind?

Turbo probably needs cleaned.
