What is considered a late 04 Model?

I just picked up an 04 model and was wondering if I got lucky and have a late 04 production number. I am under the impression that the late 04's were much better than the 03's and early 04's and that they are have the latest (like the 05 model) revisions.

Do I find out by the VIN number or by the build date on the door or something like that?

I would say the build date on the door is what you should go by or at least that's what I do.

I can't give a specific date but figure a summer build, give or take a few months, would be a late build 04 MY.

September 23rd 2003 seems to have been the cut off date for the early '04s.

So anything after that date would be a Job 2 2004 MY?
