Have anyone seen this truck? I have been hoping to find someone with keen eyesight who may know where it might have ended up. I sincerely hope it has not ended up being traded as part of the "Cash for Clunkers" program. In 1998 I made the mistake of trading it in for a 1998 Ranger.
It was my first truck. I would love to see if it still has an owner who takes pride in it. I appreciate any commentary, and look forward to hearing from someone who may have spotted it, inspected it, passed it, got passed by it, got pulled out by it... etc. Thanks.
Sincerely,
-Mark
p.s. It was last seen in PA, around the Reading area.

Have you tried searching through the gallery here? How about a site like CarDomain? You might try posting your pics here and there.A year ago I sold my old Ranger, and just a few weeks ago the new owner found me on Facebook, and then Youtube, and then CarDomain, since I had left all the pictures up of the truck.
I hope you're able to find her man.Hopefully she's being treated right. It's hard to see your old truck you had so much pride in get mistreated by a new owner who could care less about the time, money, and sweat you put into it.
I'm so glad you were the first to reply, This Truck sported the same colors as yours when I first bought it in 1993 or so. However, mine had the cream color on the roof and around the back window as well as between the polished aluminum mouldings. I had it painted with the 1996 color "Pacific Green". Right before that we had noticed blue smoke from the tailpipe. So we checked around for a good used 302. Found a newly rebuilt 302 in a beat up Ford Camper Van, that had been scrapped by a recently deceased man's family, not realizing the money and effort he had put into the van. He had wanted to fix the van up when he retired and see the country with his wife. It was an honor to take that pearl out of the oyster it had been in, and place it in my newly painted truck. I have before pictures too if you'd like, but I have to scan them first.
Also, Compliments on your progress. Great Job!

Oh really? That's awesome!Yours had the combination two tone then.Mine is just the deluxe two tone.I was gonna paint my truck with 1995 colors(Brilliant Blue, and the darker blue I forgot the name of),but then the original color grew on me,and now I wouldn't want it any other way. That's a great story about the 302.It's always cool to do something like that.I love seein trucks with the same colors as mine,so if it's no trouble,i'd like to see those pics.
Thanks for the compliments man,it means alot. She's still got a ways to go,but i'll get her there.
Barkin, I'm not sure who owns it now, but the person who purchased it in 1998 from Herb Motors in Wernersville PA (now a vacant lot, I worked there for 5 years in parts) lived in PA, I believe, but am not absolutely sure, that his name is Tim Strunk, Strupp, or something with Str...
Fordzilla, I'll try to scan some before pics, and progress pics in tonight
and upload them so I can post them here.
Yep,she looked alot like mine. Thanks for posting the pics!I wish my truck had Four Wheel Drive from the factory.Oh well,i'll take care of that in time.
Wow, they almost ought to have a "technical issues" group and an enthusiasts' group. I thought I'd get a lot of traffic on here, you know, people who've been to car and truck shows, maybe finding someone who's witnessed this truck, but it seems everyone's just looking for shade-tree mechanic help. I mean, I remember being in those shoes, but doesn't anyone google anymore for answers to simple questions like "I have a wobble at 45 mph, what is it?" I now own a Ford Escape, and this was my question, but instead of googling, I took one wheel off and replaced it with my spare, and the problem was solved. I saw a big bulge on my tire. Turns out hot tires plus cold river running through a dirt road equals one separated tread 3 hours from home. Luckily I made it home without blowing completely out. Here I thought I had mud stuck in a wheel, causing an imbalance that only a carwash would solve. My bad.
Don't worry some off us are here to talk about how driving an old ford is almost as good as sex. I'm driving my 86 7 hours and about half that through pa on Saturday. I'll keep my eye open. I'm stopping in red lion because I found an old ford dealership plate from there in the truck. Trying to get all my old info too.
