considering new truck

i really dont need a new truck,
but with the exit of the v10 in the 2010 models
it may be my last chance to own another one

im really thinking i wont be happy with the performance
of a 2011 with the v8 gas- with daily towing and hauling
i would require of it

i found a 2010 f350 with v10 new on a ford lot
about 40 mi from me--i searched and could only find 2
within about 200 mi of me

am i correct in thinking that the 2010 will be nearly identical
to my 2005 f350?

plus this whole idea gives me a way to get rid of a gmc i recently bought
that i dont like to much

also how about the pricing
its stickered at 44,630
dealer offered it at 35,696
they said the price is 500 over net - whatever that really means

think there is more wiggle room or thats pretty no bs price?

The drivetrain and suspension on the 10' is identical to your 05'. Even the bed and doors are the same on the 10' as your 05'. Main difference is the interior, front end looks and a couple minor running changes.

With an MSRP of over $44k that must be a well equipped truck and almost 10 grand off MSRP is a good deal IMO. Back in 04' I got $5800 off sticker on my new 04' and I thought that was a good deal. I say go for the new truck and enjoy it for a long time. Where I would haggle and be concerned about what they offer you for trade in on your old truck. Most dealers will try to screw you as much as they can on the cost of the trade in.
