I know this subject has been bounced around a lot... but I think my question might be a little unique.

Does anyone know the rational for putting on 17" wheels on the 4x4 EB Expy? 16" wheels seem to allow for more options on tires. If I buy new tires, I am feeling compelled to get new wheels (16") at the same time.

I feel your pain. I have the 17" rims as well, and would rather have 16", mainly for the tire selection. The 17" rims offer better stability and handling, but sacrifice ride and cheap tire options.
