When did they start putting the 05 motor in the 05 model?

And what is the diff between the 04 and 05 motor?

As for the date, I'm not sure, but since the 05's got the leftover 04.5 motors, I would venture a guess that anything built after summer 2005 would have an 05 motor as production ended September of 2005.

As for the differences, the main difference is the redesigned HPOP (with the STC fitting) other than that, I'm not sure whatelse...

My wifes 05 was born in April of 05 and has the 05 engine.

Edit: You might want to change heading to 05 instead of 50!

My 2005 has the 6.0 diesel, not the 50 diesel. Must be huge. How is the mileage?

I thought I got one of the last ones bought in July of 05 - the 3 or 4 of the largest dealers here in DFW only had 3 left !!!

Couldn't find a limited like I had, but this EB has all the same options...

In 05 the only difference really was the 2 tone paint and leather seats. Most EB's had the premier package which gave it all the standard features of the Limited. In the EB the power pedals, memory seats, home link and a few other things were options. That all came standard in the Limited.

But Ford loaded up just about every EB with options because that's where they make the $. That's another reason they didn't sell a bunch of the XLS and XLT models. Most were Limited's and EB's.

Every once in a while I see and XLT but I don't ever recall seeing and XLS.

but also they could be had in monotone - my 03 was basically blacked out from the factory...
