I have inherited a 1955 F-350 Dually with a dump bed. Has anyone made a "long" bed for something like this? I have a '79 F-250 4x4 to get the drivetrain from. I have not seen many old 250's or 350's. Any pictures out there? I plan on a long term, as I have money, project.

If you look to the right under Picture Gallery and then pick on 1956, there is an F350 pictured. In 1955, the F350 was offered with duals on a 9 foot flat bed for the first time. Prior to that, you had to get F500 or so to get duals.

The Ford Truck Parts Catalog lists duallys starting in 53 for the F350.
My 54 F350 originally had duallys. It also has the factory 9' bed which was modified for the 2 piston dump lift that was installed by the dealer when new.

The truck was originally a landscapers and towed a trailer. When it was retired from active use the family went to single rears.

It is now my regular parts chaser and I havent been able to overload the bed yet, even with 5 flathead engines and 4spd truck boxes.

Glad to see another real truck guy on here.
