a sad sight...
i came across this a few weeks ago in a new development out here, looks like it may been abandend or stolen. i came back a while later and someone has pushed it off the hill. whoever did this to it took time to wreck everything... every body panel....this thing was in great shape..... i hate people

That makes me sick. That looks to have been a pretty nice truck before they got ahold of it. If they did all that to the outside I just wonder what bad things they did to the engine if it ran?

Funny story, goes along the lines of that truck being stolen and my truck looking just like it..
My uncle had a 78 f150 that had been stolen from him back when it was only a few years old. A few years later he came across another truck at an impound lot that looked JUST like his old truck (it wasn't). Got it for REAL cheap. It had been stolen off a dealer lot brand new, 1979 F150, brown w/tan stripe down the sides, lariat, fully loaded w/ac. Was told the motor was locked up. He rebuilt the carb and BAM! ran like new. Drove it daily for up until about 2 years ago. That truck, is now my truck. He said he would rather give it to me as a present than sell it to someone and it end up like the one in that picture up above. It's my daily driver now, and I'll never get rid of it. Reminds me too much of my 78 F150 4x4 that me and my dad did some work on for my first truck when I turned 16, plus it was my uncles.
One day it will be restored!
