What did you do to the X today?
I tried out the Duplicolor removable paint coating. I've been running around without the center caps on my wheels for a few years so I figured they would be an easy thing to try it out on. I think I like the look. No matter whether it actually peels off or not it is better than looking at the rusted ends of the full floater.
I guess I'll see if it peels off when its time to rotate the tires again.

Going to look at an excursion to possibly purchase! The motor had a "noise" and was torn down apparently before actual diagnostics were done. Only to find out the converter or flywheel was bad...
Owner says he has all the new gaskets, seals, and hardware to put it all back together.

Couple days? I take a day off and I'm overwhelmed... having 4 kids and 5 Great Danes I don't get much time to internet... so alot of times I skim through the pages I've missed and stop only to look at the pics
Finally took care of the door lock actuators, well at least three out of four are working now, with the rear hatch working part time. Also finally put the ruck cover on the spare tire. Picked it up at Fleet and farm back in August when we went to Oshkosh. Not too bad for $5.\
Oshkosh you say Hey! So you're into plane you say!
HMMMM, I know where that is

On my way back from a 1,000 mile road trip, 50 miles from home i lost my alternator in my old 2000 Ex. Made it home to my garage, swapped it out and it even started without a jump!
Started gutting pieces of the X to expose as much rust as possible. I've already tackled the front bumper and some of the spots hidden by the front bumper with a rust inhibiting primer (not sure I like it, POR15 from now on)... I'm taking anything and everything I can off to stop rust in as many places as possible.
This X was rust free when I bought it... 4 years in the rust belt (only 2 of those years it was run in winter) and it's getting pretty close to rotting. I figure I'll do as much of a restoration as I can and not drive it in winter anymore.
By the way, that rusted Rancho in the back was installed less than a year ago...
