i know the stupid talk i have to have with the key guys also..they didnt want to do it either. i had to explain they were cheap keys and i would not hold them liable. after almost begging they finally cut them! whew
No big deal. Your pic was clear enough for me to spend the $16 or so for the 2 keys.

Was leaving walmart headed to dinner at friend's house last night, got in the X, turned the key, got one crank and the starter quit.

I figured: "Ok, mayabe the starter and flywheel are some how out of sync again" So I put the truck in reverse, roll it back, and try it again. This time all I hear is an electrical motor spinning. Thought I had a toof-less starter, but the long and short of it: A buddy came over, picked me up, headed to Autozone, ate dinner, yanked the starter off and found what you see in the pic below:

Stock piping is ~3.5". I'll be honest, I think the straight-piped stock exhaust on my F350 is quite a bit 'quieter' than the 4" turbo-back MBRP I put on my X. I read over and over the 'drone' from straight-piped was unbearable - but honestly, the drone at certain RPM's from this MBRP system is less than acceptable to me. Even after 'dynamat' over the whole floor... There is likely NO MEASURABLE GAIN going from stock straight-pipe to 4" turbo-back - until ya get to the BIG HP numbers.

Try to find a piece of discarded stock exhaust pipe and replace muffler with that. Somebody sells a piece to do this for like $65, but scrap pipe is prolly free if ya ask the right person (I got a piece from a 4Wheel Parts store way back when...). If you hate it, add the BTM later. Some people flip the piece of pipe forward of the muffler and re-weld the support thingy - to make it a near straight shot between the pipes when muffler is removed.

Meanwhile, this is a great deal...
I like the band clamps on this system better than the 'muffler' clamps on the MBRP.

That starter will likely work a lot better if those two parts were attached.

im trying to visualize what your flippping and welding but i just cant. u got some kinda picture of this. i really dont want a increase in noise over stock, but i would like the cooler egt and less weight/restriction.

Got her loaded and ready to take the Missus camping this weekend. Will be hitchin' up the TT soon. Can't wait. Bringing along auto detailing stuff for the annual fall interior cleanup, since we'll just be sittin' around the campsite.

Taking the wife and the truck into the woods, and using the time to clean your truck.

Are you sure that you're not from Alabama?

NICE GUYS! Got me laughing my a..off. After we do "what married people do" and I get a good nap, then I'll clean the truck. She understands, she's from Arkansas

Ain't nothing like a Hick Chick for this boy.

Besides, I clean her side of the truck first.
