What did you do to the X today?
Years ago, my kid brother acquired a 12V photo-electric cell and would hook it up to the boat battery whenever he came back from using the boat. (After a normal recharge, of course.) Whether the boat sat idle for a week or for months, the battery was always fully charged when he went to use the boat.
Always wondered why that never materialized as a viable product. It should cost about the same as any of the low-amp chargers and have an operation cost next to zero.

You know that is actually a good idea. Get a bigger house size panel and put it on the roof of the storage garage and use it to keep ALL the batteries in storage charged.
Can't find a pic of the van in the 4x4 version right now.
I just got the Excursion a couple weeks ago, so doing maintenance stuff first. Than some mods. Doing a y pipe n 4 inch exhaust for starters.
Battery tenders are the best thing for stored vehicles since the garage.
I got one back when I had my 96 F250 stored every winter. After killing a brand new ultima battery I bought the single tender and never had to replace a battery in the truck again.
For christmas about 3-4 years ago I bought a 4 bank tender for my Dad (for me lol) and have been using it to take care of all the trucks and boats in storage. This year the 4 bank was used up on other trucks and boats so I had to hook up the single to my X for this winter. I love them!
One thing about the bank is it comes with measly 10 foot cords. So unless you can park your stuff in a circle around the tender you'll need at least a couple longer cords. Tender wants something like $25 per extension cord. I made up my own with some $2 extension cords that I cut the end off and soldered on the tender ends. You can also see in the pic they have permanent mount wires as well where you just plug in the plug like a block heater when you park the vehicle.

Well, at least I'm not the only one that has that model. I WUVES them!! They were banged around on tables and shelves in my garage for over 5 years and still work great!. Now, both units are wall mounted on opposite sides of the garage.
I have two. I hook them to the battery for the 7.5kw generator, 2 motorcycles, lawn tractor, 2 Travel trailer batteries and my daughters Quad. That leaves one line that I run to the Ex when I don't drive it for a while.

Got mine at Battery Mart online. Extension cords are like $12 from them now.
How long of extension cords? I remember they had at least two different lengths.
I made up one cord that is about 30 feet long so it can reach at least most of the way to the other end of the garage.
