Stereo Upgrade
2011 Ranger XLT - 4X4, 4.0 liter
Added 4 Polk premium speakers... Pulled the stereo to clean the exterior and the sticker on the radio says, Pioneer. According to Crutchfield - there was a Factory Pioneer upgrade - though there is no marking on the dash that would show this was a pioneer radio or upgrade. Was a pioneer Stereo standard equipment for a 2011 Ranger? There is also some weird wiring under the driver's seat - which if I didn't know better appears to be for an electric seat (except it is very much manual). The wiring appears to be speaker wire colors. Is this to an amplifier? I'll add some photos tomorrow...

Today I went back to the junk yard to finish my unfinished business from last week. I got spare fender liners, arm rests to replace the torn one on my drivers seat plus a spare, a door keypad that is in excellent shape, and just for ****s and grins the front windows so I can get them tinted at my leisure. I also ended up getting the entire rear hatch. I wanted just the window as a spare but they said I could take the whole hatch for $29, so I just grabbed the whole thing. I was hoping the ceiling light/control center would be there but it was already taken.

My spares are Silver Birch, but that can be changed easy enough. It sounds like the yard you are picking prices things fairly low so grab them while you can for cheap(-ish)!
Grabbed a Thule Sonic XXL rooftop carrier off a buddy. Been looking for something to go on the roof for a little bit, and the price was very right. Good to get a bunch of those essentials that you don't use often, up out of the truck itself, but still available if needed.
Also deleted the chrome strips off the doors. It drives me wild when automakers include a tiny bit of chrome when nothing else is. Ran a string behind the trim to cut the adhesive, then went back in with goo gone and a set of plastic trim tools to scrape off the adhesive itself. Note, those rubber adhesive removal wheels just try to melt the plastic trim itself.

Calipers: My brother bought some for his pickup too. Nice parts. Of course, like everything else he gets for repair/replace, it'll sit there for a year or until he gets stranded. I gave him round tow mirrors a year ago, still sitting.
