what are the thoughts on these tires? I see they are only warranted for 40K miles, but does anyone have a huge objection to them, like the brand being shady or something?

So, ever since buying my Ex in 2010 the steering wheel has been cocked to the left. Last night I finally centered it up. I should have done this years ago!! So nice driving it with a perfectly centered wheel. I used the tech section here to do so. Also fixed the same issue in my 04 F350.

Reading through the thread from the tech section, it looks like it only took you about 4 years to do this! LOL Great job!

Another issue with whitewalls out is keeping them clean. Not very hard with my X as I keep it pretty clean, but just another one for the cons list.

My X in black.

Yeah, if you can keep 'em clean, whitewalls out for a highway tire, and that's only because a smooth blackwall looks weird to me. But I always run an AT tire or a MT tire, so the sidewalls on those boogers look good with the blackwalls out.

Finally mounted the HD Wheels on the Ex. They have "Goodride" tires, road noise is higher than what I had with the highway tires, but it is bearable...

Did a short 76 mile tow today in 87* sunny weather from Cave City KY to just North of Nashville TN, it was freaking HOT in the EX! The AC condenser failed on our first travel day a week ago, so windows and speed are our only option currently, very comfy........not!
In the morning we are towing down to West Memphis AR for a few laid back days , which will be nice after having been running around a lot so far on this trip, I just hope it's a few degrees cooler out for that 3.5 hour tow. I'm looking forward to sitting in the shade disposing of a few beers and watching Mississippi River traffic float by.

For our 2100 mile trip back to Orlando, FL to take our dog to UF's VET hospital for follow up on her clinical trial of a cancer vaccine our dog owns the 3rd row. Built a platform to fillin the leg space, with storage below.
Wife built a foam pad to sit on top to create a large bed for the dog.

The large extended 3rd row seat/bed.

Under the playform, the legs hold in small cases of food and other dog things all nicely held in place.

I like white letters out myself, but I always scrub them with tire bleach every wash so they always look like new.
