Hope all is well with everyone in ex land, I havent been on here for awhile
That sounds like a great solution. This is for the rear hatch or all doors ? I want to cut out the rear hatch warning. Doors are fine.

Here is a pic of the Ex's new home. It fits under the carport and in the shop, something not many houses around here can say. That carport is easily 2 cars deep so the covered parking situation is drastically better :-) . More shop pics when it's set up inside.

So 3 years ago today is when I got my EX home for the very first time....thanks for the reminder Facebook...

Also, 5 years ago today I was just released from the hospital where I was stuck in a bed for 7 days and then stuck in the house with limited mobility for close to 30 days after that. I had an infection that started eating away at the tissue around my ankles....SOMEWHAT GROSS PICTURES FOLLOW

The picture below was 6 months apart. 165lbs down to roughly 110lbs.

Conclusion, Buy an excursion and grow a beard and you won't end up sick again....

My vehicles looked like that the beginning of this week already!! All the trees are tuning and a lot of leaves falling already.

Twitchy- for my own self preservation- how did your ankle get infected? That's a long recovery.

Auto immune BS and me ignoring the warning signs. I was training really hard, running 120 miles and swimming 5 miles a week, plus my other training regiment. A few months before that I was in the hospital because my digestive system shut down and I should have taken it easy then, buuuut nooooo, I had to go be Billy Badass over here.

What is the objective with the cable upgrade? Is it just the power side that gets modified? Is this something I should be looking to do and is there weakness in the stock battery cables (positive and ground)?

I did it because both the starter and glow plugs are hard-wired to the passenger side battery and the higher amp altenator. My pass side battery was always weaker and the first to go. It also allows the driver battery to play an active role in helping the passenger side battery absorb these loads. You cant see it but both the power and ground are upgraded. FICMRepair has a great explanation and cables already made up if you dont have access to cables, connectors and crimp tool for wire this big. Not cheap though!!

I took the Ex to get the TT today. It was a breeze! SO much nicer than that 3/4 ton LB chebby... The TT needs a bath, it has soot all over the outside from the Santa Clarita fire. It was in the wind path of the soot....there's a possibility I could get a few bucks if I put in a claim...

Then I replaced 2 of the 3 burnt out bulbs in the 3rd brake light.

I then took the EX to Magic Auto in Valencia and they put on the RAS for me. They were supposed to put the front spring back centered on the spacer but they didn't do it for some reason.... They charged me an hour labor to install the RAS and I think that is very fair. These guys are Power Stroke Experts but know the V10 just as well, I think. They say I should change the diff oil within the next 1000 miles as it is a bit dirty. And the seal or whatever they call it at the end of the transmission has a slow leak, and that entails taking the drive shaft out checking on some other seal inside and then replace that leaky thing... He quoted me $190.... So a pretty full day getting the EX ready for the short trip this weekend. I will have to set up the e2 in the morning before we leave... We have about an inch, inch and a half of sag without it.
