What did you do to the X today?
I just ran my hose down to the frame, the oil that gets under there is rust prevention. Lmao. But I do get people commenting that my truck is smoking. As for the smell, since I switched to full synthetic oil, it's not as noticeable. Same with the oil consumption, that went down a lot too.
Got me a new oil pan.

No ****?!? Wow. I was lucky and didn't have a issue this winter even when it was below 0* out.
Smoked the passenger side rear brakes...
When I put new brakes and bearings on the rear last year, I should have replaced the rubber lines. I didn't. Either that rubber line is toast or the slide pins caught. Pedal got spongy and wheel sent up smoke signals last night.
That rotor was over 700* - DS rear was 230*, both fronts were around 200*. My plan was to do a complete Powerstop install, with stainless flex hoses next week - she just couldn't have waited one more week...

I didnt like the valve. Took 3 hours to drain the oil. Not good when you have almost 4 gallons in there. I gave mine away.
If* I replace my oil pan, Im going to have a much larger drain plug welded in and add a large valve. My 2011 SD had a huge drain plug, surprised me the first time and made a huge mess. Drained the whole pan in about 45 seconds. WHOOOSH!!

On my 6.8 I just get the oil good and hot, take off the fill cap, remove the filter first, then open the fumoto and it all comes right out. Same with the fumoto on our Mountaineer. If I try it with the fill cap on or the oil filter installed it takes way longer. I guess that means the engine is sealed well though.

Same here on my EX and my Bride's Outback, warmed up, cap off, filter off then open the Fumoto valve, but they both hold much less oil than a PSD or the Exxon Valdez.
