This sure is a beautiful country!
You're doing it wrong. This time of the year you are supposed to escape hades (az) and drive away from it as far as you can or as high as you can.

Didn't like that price so I found a supplier of the 68ohm resistors (680) that go in there, ordered a bunch so if anyone needs them let me know and I can set you up with some for .20 cents each. Oh yeah also ordered a new grill, and some head lights!
I replaced all mine with standard resistors. The surface mounts resistors (SMR) overheat inless you put something under them to act as a heat sink. It does take a solder station to regulate the heat while working with the board.

Yeah, flat land at 65 I get 20mpg, but that don't happen. (The 65 anyway)

I'm getting around 7 average with my '05 6.8 L. I'm on 37's and a 6" lift, K&N cold air intake, TB Spacer, stock gears. Power seems ok but my economy sucks.

Have you corrected the speedometer for the big 37"s, that change over the stock 31.5"s will throw the fuel mileage numbers way off, and you have to do the calculation by hand not rely on the overhead Lie-O-Meter. The speedo is driven by rear axle rotations, so a gear change will not affect the speed shown but bigger tires will.

Yup, I corrected it electronically with my supertuner. No gear change and as for the econo-meter it is off by about -2 mpg.

I helped a Dodge make it home without it breaking down. Lmao.

But am a little concerned with the temps I was seeing on my rig.... EOT got as high as 230, EGT spiked to 14-1500 a couple times, and water temp I'd say 225. Trans was happy as hell, never got over 185.

Well I did take a mpg hit when I went from skinny 17 stockers to 325/55/20's, but those stock steelies look like training wheels.

Just came home from a week in PA by the Allegheny reservoir. Another beautiful and relaxing week of camping. EX ran great and tows the new beast nicely.

Looks like a nice spot Eric.
Have you installed that new receiver hitch yet?

The receiver has not come yet.

My email from eTrailer while I was gone.

Eric,

I apologize for the delay in shipping your order.

We are waiting to receive the Torklift Superhitch that you ordered. I checked with the manufacturer for an update and confirmed they are currently in production. We now expect to have them on hand to ship late in July. As a reminder, your account is not charged until your initial order ships. I will have tracking information emailed to you as soon as it is available.

The eot in my Ex runs that high towing in the summer, but after ten years with no problems I worry less.

Ok cool, I've got synthetic blend oil in it, and change it at a max of 4,000 miles... So I know it's not really breaking down, I just wasn't sure how hot everyone else's runs..
