Our new to us toon! A little longer than the flat bottom so I don't think I can pull this one behind the TT.
We plan to have the wife tow the toon behind the van while I follow or lead with the TT and X. I still might pull the flat bottom along (because I can) and in case I want to head out fishing and wife wants to take the toon out with the kids.
There is staining on the toons but no corrosion!
Nice! We had a pontoon boat for a few years. 20 footer. It's the best with kids.
I started losing the pigment in my skin pretty bad (vitiligo) and so we sold it last summer and went back to the dirt bike / sxs scene.
Being out on the water for hours at a time was taking its toll.

I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
Same here, we had a 20' Godfrey, we used it a bunch then stopped. I sort of miss that thing now that we were camping on a lake but sitting outside took its toll on the carpet and decking.
Just did oil cooler orings, what a pain. This time I cheated and didn't remove the front housing. Was lots easier but still a mess, Last one I did was on my f250 and that front was a biatch.
When I pulled the shafts quite a bit of oil ran out the bearings, so they should be fine.
With that amount of carnage I would be worried about metal fragments in the bearings and hiding in the housing. I would take the whole axle out and steam clean it or something to make sure all of the crap is gone, the metal was circulating before it broke.
Well I'm obviously going to clean it out. The oil that ran out of the wheel bearings looked fine with no metal glitter in it and just peaking down the tubes I didn't see much of anything.
There was no oil left to circulate the metal out of the diff which is why it broke.
Yes, this is the 05+ rear axle I had swapped in. I'm really kicking myself for not buying that aluminum diff cover when I put fluid in it after the swap

TBH, the steel cover really didn't look bad.
The gears and carried out of your old axle will fit in there
