Those days are over Michael, it was a good 2 1/2 year run

Now I work and she has gone part time. Still wanna make it back to south Florida, that was a great 6 months at Juno. Caught mad fish down there heh heh. Plus taught Zoie how to surf for P.E.

Right before I left I noticed some odd wear on the tire, maybe a busted belt. So I changed it as a precaution. Had a flat ln February in Fargo had to change that in -15*.

Might not use Marathons anymore...

Well,

Finally got around to installing the KYB Monomax shocks on all four corners and did the fuel filter change while I was at it. I am amazed how bad the old shocks were, and they were not the stock ones either the plastic around the shock was already cut out.

I could compress the old ones (looked like Monroe Reflex) in my hands with a little pressure. The new KYB shocks I had to sit on top of to compress em and I am a big dude 270+. Took it for a spin and the side to side waddle is mostly gone. The biggest difference is it got rid of the rebound going over bumps in the road. Have yet to drive on the highway with ruts, but previously going over lane changes would cause the X to sort of dance side to side felt loose.

Next on top is replacing the Accessory belt, and then dropping it off at the dealer to have all fluids flushed. Figure that should be a good base line to go off of

Good catch! I went with bias ply tire on our TT a couple years ago in hopes that if they do blow out they won't destroy the camper.

So far I like them allot! They were fairly cheap as well, I believe $800 for all 4 with aluminum wheels. I went up a couple sizes in both wheels and tires at the time to cut down on the trailer sway a bit.

That should have been a short job. Only 8 lug nuts, 2 bolts, 4 nuts, a couple snap rings and one wire. Hr job at the most I'd say.

As far as the shock shopping goes, this is just a FWIW based on my experience. I ended up buying KYB Monomax shocks for my Ex. If you are doing a spring swap anyway, price the front shocks in an F250 AND an Excursion application. I found the Monomax's for the F250 were approximately $35 each, but the Excursion application was about $65 each. I assume they simply don't sell many Excursion shocks , so the price is much higher. I didn't price the Bilsteins both ways..... but worth looking at. Obviously we don't have that option for the rears since we have the foolish bar pin top mount.

Oh, our rear shocks are different than the F250s? Good to know thanks! I had just been looking at f250 shocks as I assumed with the added lift from the x/mod-Cs it would bring it up to stock F250 shock height.
