That's the reason I switched to the Warns, The only way I found to get it to unlock was to jack up that wheel and tap on the lockout while spinning the wheel back and forth till it let go....
Can't they be disassembled, cleaned, and lubed to work good again?
I would soak it in Kerosene, clean it up, put some atf in it, a light coat of grease, reinstall, and see how it works. What can it hurt, it already is not working right.
Que Brent!

Might be worth a try, I think Guzzle has a write up on how to do it, I just like the feeling of knowing they are locked or unlocked and not having one axleshaft spin for a month before I notice it..

But once they're unlocked they have no reason to lock by themselves after, right? I don't care if she doesn't go into 4x4 for now I just want the damn things to stop binding me up...
Side note...
Seller says these are off a Ford Lariat Supercrew (didn't specify a year for whatever reason) apparently 7' long... probable fit?

I'd be careful what you clean them with... I cleaned/lubed mine and it didn't help... I actually can't remember what I used to clean them but the silicone like inside of the hub (the back of the dial) bubbled up and unglued on the sides...

If you can get them unlocked then no they wont lock on there own until you put it in 4wd again then they might stick again. and no on the running boards. ours only have 3 mounting points not 4....
Wow, you couldn't even tell there was a car there before
Funny thing is there were 2 cars in the lot that night at a park around 9pm and if I had to guess they probably were not up to anything good.

These headlights are one of the better investments I have made. Between the housings and bulbs they are awesome.
Tylus- any before and after pictures with those bulbs?
I recently came across this website, their pricing is good, and they are an all aluminum construction, so light weight, yet strong... Has anyone worked with this product? I am seriously looking to get the full bumper with the bottom rake (as shown in the picture), but would like some feedback if anyone knows the product.
