Oh yes, lots of pictures. This task is in dire need of a "for dummies", the one I was using says install right shoe first, then left, then springs and clips. Definitely some dummie details needed. Have to put my passenger side back together once the suns up, then I will start on the driver's side. Second side is always easier - I'm hoping

As does every other Excursion that was ever made. But all of us have drum parking brakes, which is what Sammie was talking about.

I really like those mirrors, can I ask how much they were?

My pricing differs as I am an employee, the part# on them is EFXMRFSD03HECP if you want to look around for the best deal. There are a few online sellers that may even be site sponsors.

Tow Mirrors

$374.99 from Partscatalog.com including my tax bill and shipping. I had a lady pay for most of it, when she decided to hit my driver's mirror after I had just parked on a quiet side street. She complained there wasn't enough room for her to get by, in her Suburban! But she did stop and own up to breaking the turn signal indicator in the mirror cover. Perhaps she stopped because I had my phone in my hand and was standing right there, but it was still a nice outcome!

Sad day for my Excursion. Pulled the engine out... This X will likely never drive again. I did a bunch of smokey burnouts before it came out though!! No since in letting it go to the grave with too much tread on the tires!!! The last one resulted in big chunks of tread coming off, so I quit before I had to put the spare on...

Here's the time-lapse of the last part of engine removal - I posted it in the 7.3 section too. This is the end of about 5.5hrs after getting into the garage.

Yep driver's side parking brake was even worse. All kinds of carnage stuck in the springs and backing plates. One of the upper springs was broken and a hunk of the pad was missing.

I'm installing my lift, the instructions say it doesn't matter which way the leaf springs go so I put the new ones in same way as stock. Bigger end at the front of the truck. Doesn't seem like the track bar is going to line up now though... Ideas?!? Do I need the weight of the truck on it to put on the track bar?
