Would this work?

I'm having some suspension thoughts about my f150 and am looking for some thoughts on an idea. Truck currently has f350 front coils with adjustable camber bushings and has been properly aligned. Truck sits approximately 1 1/2" taller in the front. I'm wondering if a combination of 2" coil spacers and 2" axle drop brackets would lift the front end 2 additional inches while allowing me to still use the heavy duty coils and maintain the current alignment geometry? I'm wondering if 2" radius arm brackets would also be necessary.

I'm sure it sounds a little hackneyed, but I really like the stronger front end with the f350 coils but would like some more lift when I upsize the tires.

Thoughts?

Which spacers are you looking at? If its aluminum ones, I would not use them.

By the way, I really like your trucks stance the way it is.

Thanks. I like the stance as well, but the 33's I had were a little too tight for clearance and sometimes rubbed. I have gone back to the 31's for now as the craigslist 33's were junk and caused wicked highway vibes. I figure I have one more winter on the 31's then I can justify new rubber. Hankook RT03 mud terrains or Duratracs.

I don't know much about spacers but the ones I have seen were poly Daystars.

I would just go with 32 11.50. I like that size better than 33s. It also doesn't affect gearing as much.

Those Hankook RT03 tires look pretty sweet.

I like the 32x11.5 as well but selection is extremely limited. I find that the kinds of mud we get here from the constant rain clogs up AT tires.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the 1 ton coils with spacers and drop brackets for lift AND strength?

well if you put in the lift, and then drop the axle the same amount of lift it should be street worthy and other than an alignment you should be good.

though the radius arm brackets may help but with only a 2 inch lift i think you will be alright.

If he does that he will have more than a 2 inch lift.
