SLAM DUNK. Diablo Predator For Powerstroke Diesel - 4 Program Tuner
No torque numbers yet, but you can expect results similar to current Diablo tunes (ie, torque is roughly 2x horsepower).
The Predator is VIN locked. This gives it the advantage of being immune to dealer reflashes. However, in order to use it on another truck you would need to send it to a dealer to reset.

Thanks Ken. I just sold my SuperChips MicroTuner 1700 on Ebay and plan on getting this one . I really like the features on this one, like the speedo configure, etc. since I have 35" tires.
I believe we have to wait until March 1st right? Does it come with a cool sticker for the back window like the superchips?
Anyway, I drove my Excursion in this morning with the stock program and it was a dog... felt like I was dragging a Chevy

I'm getting them in advance of March 1st. Volume has its advantages.

Ken; are you mistaken or am I? I just came from another site and they allow that you can program it for tire size changes. I was all set to buy the 54/78 but now I'm going to hang tight and see what happens. Let me know whos mistaken.

How come I MAY NOT use attachments?
The GM Predator allows tire size changes. As of the last discussion I've had (today) the Ford diesel Predator does not allow tire size changes.
There is no way to directly manage attachements in the boards and I can't let our site be used for photo storage, growing the database unco. If you need to put a photo in a post you can put it in the User Gallery here or on your own web site and then include it in the post.
We had attachments turned on for all users for 3 days and in that small time period 3 megabytes of attachments were added to the database. If that trend kept up the attachment database would be huge within a year's time.

Well, what the hay is up with that? How hard is it if they can do it for GM? With this bit of news, what else does it not do that it does for GM? Most of the stuff I read never mentioned any of that. I'm glad you are on top of things Ken. I guess other web sites just cut and pasted the GM specs because it says Ford.
So, can you give us an estimated time for the tire size to be included? I start towing in late April (when the ice melts on the lakes). Thanks again.

With a Powerstroke the wrong tire calibration can give you a slamming hard shift if its off too much. Plus...
With this bit of news, what else does it not do that it does for GM?
No estimate on tire size changes, or if this will ever be a user option. Probably a dealer programmed option, the reason being is the inconsistancy between how the size is set with a number of the codes.

Cant you recalibrate for tires on the dash like in the 94-97 trucks (even gassers) usint the Odometer and Trip buttons? Or do the newer trucks even have those anymore? I havent spent much time inside a 99+ truck so I've never noticed.

How would I update the Pedator program if a newer version came out that could change the odometer settings or other features? Do I send it in to Motor Haven? Are the updates free?

Hey Ken,
I recently purchased the SCMT #1705. Then out comes the Diablo Preditor. Is either one better than the other?
Also, my check engine light has come on a few times already while towing 5K. Is that a problem.
