Poly front control arm bushings
I know driving around here in the "D" (Detroit) has not been nice to my truck, and my lower control arm bushings are in need of replacement. One day when I was on the road I noticed by looking at another vehicle (while I was riding, not driving) how much the bushings move/flex on the road just going over bumps.
So I decided to order a complete polyurethane bushing kit for the upper and lower control arms on both sides.
I know alot of people have said the vibrations in these trucks are due to the harder than normal bushings, so I guess we will see if this makes it better or worse. The vibrations dont bother me, I do like the "Tight" feeling of a new vehicle, so i'm sure I'll like these bushings, as I like my poly sway bar bushings.
So just curious though, anyone else ever done this, or am I going to have to be the one to take the pictures and do the whole review?
The kit ran about 150 bucks too BTW
I was doing a search for info leading to the replacement of lower control arm bushings. I am about to do a complete front end rebuild on my '04 SCAB. Did you ever go through with this mod? Did you find the bushing kit? If so, where?
Thanks,
Bob
