'90 7.3 Starting problems/ parts

My '90 7.3 diesel starts right up but then dies. I read another thread on this and the response was that there might be a leak in the return lines. I am quite sure I have a leak in the return line of my engine. My question is, how do I fix it? Standing in front of the engine, the leak is on the return line on the front left cylinder injector line. There is what seems like a plastic fitting with two rubber lines connected to it. There is leakage from this fitting, not the steel fuel line. Are there simple O-rings under this fitting? or something hard to get? Or could the plastic fitting be cracked? I found out in '98 that the dealers do not have parts lists for this vehicle so I am also wondering if there is a diesel parts supplier/ connection.
I had to remove the entire engine wiring harness a few years back because nobody knew anything about them or where to get parts for them. After several hours of checking every wire and connector I found a relay on the harness that didn't work. Replacing the relay brought my transmission back to life. I'm perfectly willing to wrench on this thing but I'd like to find out what trials I'm in for before I take it apart.

I go thru that every few years. There's 2 o-rings under that plastic return collar. You can get them from any dealer, or go find an International dealer and get them there. I finally got fed up and got an entire return kit from the Inter. dealer,(cost 68 bucks). It came with all the o-rings, all the return collars, and all new return hoses. Put that all on, and the drainback problem went away. When you take off the high pressure lines, make sure to use a backup wrench on the injector, and don't moose those lines around too much. On a 1-10, this jobs about a 4.

You need a return line kit. They call it an "Injector Installation Kit".
In the meantime, while you're waiting for your kit to arrive, use some fuel line which is the same I.D. as the old return line. I can't remember, is it 1/4, 5/16, or 3/8? Be careful when you are messing around with the line as most likely if one line is bad, the rest of them are hanging on by a thread and will start leaking too, if dislodged. Hope this helps.

Thanks to both of you for the information. I just ordered the kit. I'll be sure not to moose the fittings!
