03 Expy Aux/CD changer help
Ok I have searched all over and have not found any threads with my specific question. If it's out there I apologize in advance. I have a 2003 EB Expy Gen 1 with Fac Nav and rear DVD system. My problem is I want to create a way to play my ipod/mp3 throught the stereo without any FM transmition. I have the Aux button on the dash and I've read about the PIE converter but that takes away from the rear dvd system. I don't want to lose that option. Is there an aux input hidden somewhere on this stereo? Or is it just suggesting that I can install something? My other question is, can I remove my cd changer that's in the console and connect my ipod in some form or fashion that way? Right now I'm running an RCA to 1/8 in cable from the rear dvd player straight to the ipod. It works but the cable is just hanging in the air. I would love to clean it up a bit. Why would Ford add that button on the stereo without an easy option of using it? Ugh! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
