2001 F-250 drivers side power window. When I push the button all works fine for about 2/3 of the way down then it gets very slow for about 2-3 inches (sometimes have to push down on the glass with my hand to help) then it goes the rest of the way down fine. IT closes all the way up with no problems (does not slow down). Some days it does not have any problems but it is this way most of the time. I have cleaned the tracks and lubed them, I have lubed the pivot points on the arms with spray lube. Any help would be great Thanks.
What kind of spray lube did you use.. I had the same problem with mine.. I used spray silicone on the (Felt) side window tracks then used plumbers silicone grease on the pivot points and the regulator sliders.. you might check it to see if any of the white plastic sliders are worn (dont know what they are called).. causing it to drag..
I used a silicone lube on the pivot points of the arms and cleaned the sliders and tracks then used silicone grease on the tracks. All the white sliders looked to be in good shape. Like I said some days it works fine then some it don't. It always works fine going up that is why it seems strange to me because if it is dragging going down why not drag going up the glass and sliders are passing the same path each direction. Thanks
