Far be it for me to speak for Quick, but I'm fairly certain he did say what he meant. IMHO, he was complimenting the other guys in the round for having nice looking trucks, and there's nothing wrong with that. You shouldn't have corrected him.
Seriously man, why would you want to detract from Quick statement complimenting the guys on having nice trucks, by saying what he meant to say was good job to you? Is your ego so frail you can't handle compliments going to the owners of the trucks? Only you can get compliments for putting the round together?
As good a job as you did in putting this together (and you really did do a good job, and you deserve props), you really tarnish the whole point by breaking your arm to pat yourself on the back.
I'm sure the stage is big enough for the truck owners to share it with you. After all, it's about the trucks, not who puts it together, right?
