I'd like to hear your suggestions for mounting location for a MSD 6A or 6L. I have a '95 F150 4x4 w/5.8L.
Also, is it worth the extra $25 bucks for the version with the rubber shock mounts? This is a hunting/fishing/forest work truck so it gets off-road a lot, but it's not a "go fast off-road" vehicle.
i looked into an MSD6a but i cant seemed to part with the money at this time. I thought about wear to put also and if u look at MSD specs u will find the 6a is close to the same size as a 2x4 {8"Lx3.5"Wx2.25"H} cut a hunk of 2x4 and find a good place. if u think the spot might get to wet use some caulk or glue to mount 2x4 and see if it get wet
I relocated the battery to the right front of the pickup bed. I mounted the MSD 6a and an ARB air compressor where the battery was. This is a good idea since it transfers some weight from the front to the rear.

Sorry guys, sorry 8996EBBroncos - I had no clue that there is now no link whatsoever to a person's gallery (not even the search-by-user-name searchbar that used to be in the User Galleries - what's up with that deletion?!).
The pic is in a, um, uh, collage (?) of pics down at the bottom of the 1993 gallery.
Thanks to those who have posted suggestions so far.
I will be installing a MSD TFI coil (pn# 8227), Ford Racing 9mm wires, NGK plugs and new cap/rotor this weekend or next. The MSD 6x is the next upgrade.
