new guy with questions

I have a 1967 F-250 4x4 and am trying to put 35 spline axles in this Dana 60. The new axles are to big in diameter and won't fit in my spindles. Has anyone bored out the spindles to fit the bigger axles with any sucess?

F-250's didn't have D-60's until 78-79. If that is the original axle, it is a D-44HD with the closed knuckle, so they definitely won't fit.
