Good morning Nevada. In the midst of a diagnostic storm over here. Pulled the codes on my truck and came up with two codes. 626 and 172. 626 is the coast clutch solenoid and I am not going to worry about the as the truck drives and I am swapping it out for a ZF5 as soon as I get a clutch and a clutch hose. The 172 code took me half the day but I think I have it narrowed down to either the injectors, the fuel pressure regulator, or the fuel filter.
I will be looking for some equipment later today. As long as I stay out of the hills even on the highway and avoid putting a load on the engine I will be good. For the moment anyway

Rather quiet this month. Must be lots of vacation, too much beer (is this possible?) or too much work.
Got the fuel pressure regulator, pressure tester, and the fuel pump in. Now just have to find some time this week to install them.

Tested my fuel pressure today and at idle it is good, about 30 psi. at WOT it is low about 40 psi. the shop manual states that it is supposed to be 45@WOT.
Went to put the adjustable pressure regulator on it but can not. Some posts here on FTE have people stating that they are running their 460's with the adjustable regulator for a 5.0 Mustang but it will not fit my truck
Perhaps this only works with the older injected 460's. Time to start looking for another regulator and return this one to Summit

Good evening Nevada. Got my truck fixed. It was the fuel filter that was less than a year old. If this one dies early I am going to start replacing the fuel tanks. Still have the fuel pressure regulator coming so I am going to install it once it comes in.

hey guys it's been a while since i've posted in this chapter. BUT you will more than likely be seeing more of me since i will either be transfering from SC to Fallon or getting out of the navy and moving back to Logandale! i'll keep you guys posted since if i move to Fallon i'm going to be needing a place to rent....LOL preferably one with a shop and plenty of room to build a motocross track on..LMAO

Happy Monday all. Had a great time at the Nugent show Friday night, and also attended the State Fair Saturday. The fair has improved in the last few years, they had a really good wild west show, and of course the demo derby.
How about this cool weather? I'm suffering from weather schizophrenia again, the highs at home are lower than the lows down here, and it's only going to get worse haha.
