91 302 trans swap?

i got a friend with a 91 f150 with the 5.0l with the e4od trans and the frame is cracked and the radius arm bracket is broken so he has a early 89 bronco with a 5.0l but the c6 trans or (AOD i think) and he wants to know if the 91 5.0l will bolt up to the 89 bronco cause the engine in the bronco is junk?

The bellhousings for the two are the same so that part will work.
Differences - Driveshaft lengths, crossmember is different for an E4OD, computer from F150 will need to be used, minor cabling differences also.

These engines are identical so this is a direct swap... no wiring or computer changes necessary. DO NOT use any wiring from the donor vehicle and make sure the flexplate that is in the Bronco now stays with the transmission, if you put a C6/E4OD flexplate on an AOD it will be destroyed in seconds.

I guess I took it as he was going to swap the transmission in also, my mistake. I would get rid of the AOD if that is what it is, and put in the E40D. AOD is junk.
