I recently got a set of 2003 Lariat Power Heat seat to throw in my 2000 extented cab. I currently have manual cloth. My question is, What needs to be done to run the power to the new seats? The Driver will be no problem because it just plugs into the seat belts plug. Does anyone know if Ford preruns all wires regardless of the trim? Will I need to run a wire back to a fuse? Thanks for any info you can offer.
I posted a question on the V-10 site that relates, but is different. I am in the process of ordering an F250 Crew Cab 4 x 4 V-10 (loaded - Moonroof, signal mirrors, etc). I am ordering the "sport" appearance package. My wife loves the truck, especially the black leather interior with the carbon fiber accents. One problem, she wants (no, demands) heated seats. Heated seats are an option on the Lariat package, but not the XLT. I am trying to get my dealer to order it with heated seats, but they say it is impossible. I look forward to the responses you get. If there is no way to have it done at the factory, I would like to just order the heating element and associated switches, etc and install it after delivery. Maybe someone on this forum has done that?
Check my sig. I have an '02 XLT CC, with cloth seats. Driver and passenger seats are power and heated. I ordered it no problem, no questions asked. My dealer did say it was the only truck he'd ever ordered with cloth heated seats though.
