Starts when it wants too?

Starts when it wants too?
Just started today, started my truck up to go hook the trailer up to it no problom. Got trailer hooked up shut truck off. Did whatever hopped back in to take off and turned key nothing turned again and fired up. Went to gas station samething happend turned key nothing turned again fired up??? 99 F-250 auto 4x4 V-10 118xxx miles Checked battery connections and there good and tight with no corrosion. So im thinking it has to do with the ignition for the key? But thanks for your time and responses!

Well I had a similar issue and it was a slightly loose starter cable. Tightened it down and haven't had an issue since. So check that but I have to ask do you have an aftermarket security system?

Wow you guys are fast! Yea ill check the cables going to the starter and also I do have a remote starter that I never use. And also yes it doesnt turn over turn the key and nothing. Thanks
